Daewoo Electronics said its Refrigerator Research Institute, located in Bupyeong District, Incheon, was certified as a refrigerator energy tester by the Chinese government. Accordingly, Daewoo Electronics can have its refrigerators, bound for the Chinese market, energy-certified by its own research institute. To build an efficient energy certification system, Daewoo Electronics Refrigerator Research Institute last year applied to become a CQC (China Quality Certification) tester.
